Killed 8 water moccasins today

Driving around on our farm by edge of water.
Two laid out in the road.
Be careful out and about.

Worked 100 acres for 3 years and killed over 500 snakes.
Only 2 were actually moccasins/cotton mouths.

Im not judging or saying I wouldn't have done it, but killing 498 harmless snakes just seems wrong.

No they don't. They shape of the eyes says a lot more. The chance every snake you killed was venomous is almost zero.

I am shooting every one of the snakes I see in the next 2 months while in the woods turkey hunting with my 45 caliber pistol that also shoots .410 gauge shells. I will be the judge if they are good snakes or not once they are dead.
