Nut crusted oysters... Cafe Minh
Sweetbreads.... Clancy's
Mussels.. La Crepe Nanou
White truffle parmigiano toast w wild mushrooms and marrow... Lilette
Seafood martini... Pelican Club
Crab meat and gnocchi... August
Pork belly and scallop... Patois

Best one I have ever had was at Peristyle pre-fire when Anne Kearney was at the top of the world. Roasted beet and crab meat salad with a broken beet viniagrette.

This list could go forever.

One more. A dozen raw oysters at Casamento's.

Are soups considered appetizers? I mean I love the turtle soup at Commanders, and the hot and soup at LA Thai Uptown.

I like crab rangoon at Young's in Kenner, goat cheese-stuffed squash blossoms at Domenica, combination board at Cafe Degas, chargrilled oysters at Drago's, chicken/rabbit livers on toast at Cochon...

I always have to get at least one every time I'm there. Only problem is I smell like a pupusa for the rest of the day after eating there.

I almost ordered another after I devoured my first one, it was so good.

I'll add the grilled sweetbreads with roasted sweet potato, candied pecans, bacon and sage in browned butter vinaigrette from Bistro Daisy.
