Through 15 games LSU's team fielding percentage is .978...

...that's pretty impressive.
Need guys like Foster, Slaid and Sciambra to get hot and Rumbelow to do a better job finishing hitters with two strikes (and Glenn to stop finding bats so much). Otherwise this team looks pretty good. Definitely better than the last two teams.

If Slaid and Sciam can get their bats around this team will be real good.
Gonna need them to pick it up before we get to the big boys.

Jones is really spectacular at 2nd...glad we don't really need him in center

We could use him in CF, but he is playing a very good 2nd base. Will just need either Fields or Sciambra to find it at the plate

Sciambra's bat is coming around. He hit a big double vs Tulane & some hard shots last night (just right at the other team).
Surprised Arby hasn't really had a serious look tho. At least give him a midweek start or something?
ETA: is there an update on Alex Edward?

Still doesn't change the fact that we lost a series to Appalacian St. AT HOME according to some Rantards.

The same rantards forget that Illinois took a series from us in '09 & in 2000 we were swept at home by Houston.

We're still going to play a lot of close, low scoring games in SEC play. Some of the bats are due to regress and we don't have much extra base power. As long as the pitching and defense holds up we'll have a good shot at the West.

while i think they will be too, we went into SEC play last year at 16-1. the year before we went into the ole miss weekend at 32-6, then finished the year 3-14 before winning the SECT. It's waaaaaay to early to say if this team will be any better.

shite, never mind. I guess I gave these guys the kiss of death. Total failure today.
Must have been a hell of a party last night.
