If they played like this all season long they would have been a 3 or 4 seed in the SEC and not an 8.

Good game by the Tigers. Hopefully they will be able to play this way all of the time next season.

The reason why CTJ needs to go is the 3 game losing stretch to end the season against beatable teams. This team gets into the tournament with a 10-6 record followed up by an opening round victory.

Hard to understand how this team could be so up and down. Sometimes, like today, they came out with maximum effort and fire in their eyes. Other times it looked like they didn't even want to be out there - the last Ole Miss and Auburn games of the regular season. Sometimes they just played one on one, give me the ball and will shoot no matter what and other times it seemed no one wanted to shoot. A lot of times we had a great shut down defense and others it was wave your man on by and shout Ole!

Inconsistency has to stop next year. Yeah you will always have off games but there should always be effort and teamwork.

Yep. A team that was absolutely sleepwalking with nothing whatsoever to play for, comfortably beats us in our own state when we desperately need to win, leaving us on the bubble for the NIT after four years of supposedly "building" our program, and it's a moral victory to cap off our best season in three years. That's how far LSU basketball has fallen. Sad. And ridiculous.

Maybe they learned they have to play hard AND focused every game.

We deserve an NIT bid imo and the team did play very hard today. But the same thing got them against a very flat Kentucky team that has gotten them all season. Consistency or the lack thereof. They just can't make baskets to keep leads, or catch up when a team makes a run-most of the time. Again, that's consistency. You need some shooter like Stringer and Turner that can make one out of two or three most of the time. Not go whole games cold as a cucumber, and then maybe have a good game where they make shots they should make. A shooter may have a bad game or two, but they are able to be consistent in the majority of the games they play. We don't have this now. That's the biggest problem with this team. It isn't heart.

While the NIT isn't where we want to be as a program, it is some improvement. This team struggles with consistency which probably has a lot to do with their youth. Any extra games they can have to play together will help these kids grow up and be better for next year, especially in post season tournament games (even if it is just the NIT)

Not to mention that I am an LSU basketball fan and would love to watch a few more games. And I can guarantee you that a hard working senior like Storm Warren would kill to have a chance to play more games. I'd like to see you tell him "whoopty doo" about his potential NIT bid.

I'm not one for moral victories, but you're wrong if you think they comfortably beat us. And you most likely didn't watch the game.

to bad nobody was there to see it. Kentucky fans outnumbered LSU fans 10 to 1.

I was there.... It was more like 100:1. I'd say that there was about 10k Uk fans. It was pretty impressive.
