7 minute mark for the waterworks

He tears up when talking about his mother pawning her wedding ring to put food on the table as a kid. Goes on to say that, "If you can't be happy with $10, you'll never be happy with $100."

This from his press conference today. So many things I want to say about this guy, but I'm not sure I can find the words. He has the potential to be the most beloved athlete in Houston since Hakeem.

Amid all the bounty stuff, the concussions, the FA money talk, hope this brightens your day up a bit. If you have kids, I hope they look up to athletes like this.

He needs many more Pro Bowl years to touch Hakeem. Hakeem was just P-H-E-N-O-M-E-N-A-L.

Not nearly as fake as Drew Brees or Rickey Jackson or Morten Andersen.

Idk why anyone would think he's fake in the first place. He got in a barfight in college and it changed him, obviously for the better. He was being a dumb kid... and most smart adults were once dumb kids.

I think LE is just messing with us. Not sure how people could dislike the dude.

Please, do share with us the great reasons why you think that about this man?

Arian Foster is far from fake.

Glad he got what he deserved after the past two years. I had a number of communications/PR/advertising classes with him at UT, and ended up doing several presentations with him over the course of a few years/different classes. He was always so down to earth and unassuming.

And speaks Pterodactyl very well

and now AJ80 is restructuring his contract in an effort to keep super mario. Several other key players have said that they'd be willing to as well if the organization approached them.

Them some classy mofo's.

I became an Arian Foster fan when I drafted him in the 6th round of my FF leagues 2010 draft. This is all the more reason to like the guy.

The guy is genuine. He was really fighting back tears right there. Good for you Arian.

He had like 5 or 6 fumbles in ~650 carries at UT, which isn't THAT bad, but a lot of them came at the worst possible moment.

I find it funny that UT brass said he had, "character issues" b/c he got in a bar fight as a freshman. I mean it's possible he did, we couldn't see what happened behind closed doors, but I just don't see it.
