Was Dead Island any good?

Looking for a new game and love zombie games if they are made well. So, how was this game? I know it's an open world type of game, so is it like left 4 dead? I liked that ok but got bored kinda fast with it. Is there a co-op mode?

Co-op for four people. Some DLC added a multi player I think. Haven't tried the multi yet but the campaign is fun as hell especially if you can get a group to run through it. Great game.

Its awesome! Mostly melee combat .2-4 Co op. Good story.so so voice acting. Cool upgrade system and weapon building.

Cool sounds like I'm definitely gonna pick it up. I wish there was a place in Montgomery al that still rented video games. Redbox has some but none that I care about. Guess I'll just buy a used copy.

If you are talking about "the last of us" there are a few threads about it and a nice write up on this months game informer. I can't wait.it looks amazing.

Yea "the last of us" is it I think. Looks really good. It I feel like making a really good zombie game is hard. You need to have a feeling of being trapped but you also need a little open world feel. Unless its COD zombies in which case you just get a huge machine gun and camp and cut 'me down

That's the feeling you get in dead island. Huge open world. But those frickers will corner your arse and best the everliving shite out of you.

I got on Dead Island late but I have been playing it for a few weeks and it is an above average game IMO.
Variety of weapons is a strength and the combat is pretty intuitive
