I know Jonah Austin is kinda behind but I have heard good things about the other purple knight Trai Turner.

He's been working with the 2 deep at right gaurd. Whats his chances of playing?

There are some experienced players that can play guard and La'el Collins needs to be on the field. I think Trai will contribute, but not sure how much in 2012.

On a somewhat related note, I was wondering if anyone knows who will be the back-up center and the center of the future, since Lonergan is a senior this coming season.

Look for Elliot Porter to be the back up center from what I have heard, but I havn't seen with my own eyes at practice this year who has been getting second team OL reps at center this year.

The entire 2nd group has been young guys.

LT vadal
LG Corey white
C Porter
RT Trai
RT Austin.

The duo from st aug is projecting to lock down half the line in the future.

porter weighs more than that. I expect he will add a few more pounds as well.

We must be having serious attrition on the line or something is wrong with other guys. That list looks messed up. I want to know what is up with Washington because I thought staff was high on him...

He had an injury that made him sit out the whole season. Might not be fully healed yet. He'll bounce back, he's probably one of the most athletic O linemen on the team

I'd be willing to bet La'El is the opening game starter at LG.

The rep distribution in the spring is very rarely how things end up on the fall depth chart. I think they give the young guys a lot of work in the spring because that is more teaching time, to see what they have in the young guys and get the freshmen acclimated to practice tempo.

Our O-Line will be HUGE next year, judging off the 2's.

Assuming Faulk leaves early:

LT: Collins
LG: Alexander
C: Porter
RG: Turner
RT: Austin

Defenses will be dead by the start of the 3rd with that line blocking. Could also be a lot larger if we reel in that Fenohoko Fanaika and plug him in at center
