With Loomis in full damage control, how does this affect Brees contract talk?

This story is exploding, its being reported everywhere. Williams admitting guilt doesn't help, in fact, it probably makes it worse.
Does the story put Brees and his contract on the backburner? Maybe just say screw it and franchise him? This story could'nt break at a worse time for Drew...

Mort reported on espn radio that benson told loomis to stop the program before the 2011 season and loomis failed to get it done
