Without further ado, here are the four combine "winners" at the quarterback position:

quote:

Jordan Jefferson, LSU: Jefferson has always had the physical attributes scouts look for at the quarterback position, as proved in Indy by his 6-4 1/8, 223-pound frame, 10 1/4-inch hands, 4.65 40-yard dash, 36 1/2-inch vertical and receiver-like 4.06 20-yard shuttle. He even put up 225 pounds 14 times on the bench press, a test that most quarterbacks choose not to perform. The way the ball came out of his hand while he was throwing to receivers on Sunday also reminded scouts of arm strength that can stretch defenses in a vertical attack. His game tape isn't exemplary, but the skill set he showed in Indianapolis will probably be enough to see him drafted in April -- possibly higher than some expect, due to a lack of promising mid-to-late-round quarterback prospects.

Draft projection: Fifth round.

He'd be a great pickup for a team in the late rounds to run a scout offense

I never doubted he'd get drafted with his skillset. It would be surprising to me if a team decided to keep him at QB though.

The good for him is if it doesn't work at QB, he has the physical ability to move to other positions. Good for him. But I'm still glad he isn't here anymore...

Probably true.

Of course, there have been hundreds of post celebrating the "combine grades" that weren't actually combine grades, so I figured why not shed some truth in the darkness of falsehood.

I'm confused.

Did he or did he not grade out at 44/100, and was graded the lowest out of anyone that attended the combine.

I'm serious, I don't know what to believe.

I posted on here before that he is the next matt flynn if he gets with an excellent qb coach and has 3-4 years of continuity with team/coach. imo he won't be as good as flynn but he can improve DRAMATICALLY with EXTENDED coaching.

The grade was precombine. People were just assuming it was postcombine for whatever reason.

Pre-combine grade.

The combine grades have yet to be released.

From NOLA.com:

Correction: These were the scores posted by the NFL on Jordan Jefferson before the combine. When we get final scores, we'll update.

Flynn was good at LSU though.
