Anyone have any cool stories about going to a notable location where a movie was filmed?

I was wondering this after watching Pulp Fiction. The scene at the beginning and end looks like the same coffee shop where other films have been shot. I believe it's the same one as the Big Lebowski when Walter and the dude were discussing the acquisition of a toe. Anyone ever been to this coffee shop?

I have been to Miramar Marine Air Station (Top Gun), and the restaurant where Goose played the piano and sang (Kentucky Bar-b-q?).

I guess DC doesn't count.

I used to hang out on Sandy Point on St. Croix. It was the beach used for the last scene in The Shawshank Redemption.

I've been on "the staircase" from the Exorcist. The outside one, not the inside one that she back-bend-crawls down

Are you self medicating again?

I've been to just about every place in Steel Magnolias.

Numerous movies that were shot in Shreveport.

The Alamo (Pee Wee Herman)

Hoover Dam (Transformers)

Yes actually. Bout to have back surgery and I'm hurtin so I'm on hydrocodine. Hate takin pain medicine but it kinda helps right now. Mixed with seizure medicine... Kinda hard to pay attention in class.

I'm trying to think of other Shreveport/bossier places. Herbie K's has been in one. Shreveport convention center for Mr Brooks.

Stayed at the B&B in Natchitoches where the Steel Magnolias family lived.

I've been to several places in Hollywood, Vegas, and New Orleans where movies were filmed, but who hasn't.

I was in the same area of Ireland where The Quiet Man with John Wayne was filmed and saw several of the rural locations for the movie.

I've watched some baseball games in one of the stadiums filmed for A League of Their Own. It's about 2 minutes from my house.
