The addition would include a lower level containing 4,000 club seats, two levels of suites totaling 60 in all with seating for 24 people in each, and a 1,500-seat upper deck topping the entire addition, Alleva said.

The trigger for the south stadium expansion plans was the discussion over what to do about replacing the large scoreboard above the south end zone, Alleva said. Instead of replacing it where the current scoreboards sits, Alleva said LSU will put in two large video boards in the corners above the existing south end zone stands.

quote:

SEC schools are required to provide approximately 7,000 tickets for visiting conference teams. Alleva said about 1,000 seats currently occupied by visiting fans in Tiger Stadium’s lower bowl will be given over to prospective LSU season ticket holders, while the corresponding number of visiting fans will be moved to the new south upper deck.

I feel like they are reading the rant. Alleva is thinking 2014 at the earliest but most likely 2015

One of my best friend is in charge of this.
He emailed the renderings of this 3 yrs ago.

Think south Carolina's end zone upper deck if you are trying to envision what this gonna look like.

We should scatter visiting teams fans all over the place like they do at Florida

Am I supposed to know what Carolina's EZ UD looks like?

If the expansion goes as Alleva described, Tiger Stadium would grow by 6,940 seats to a total capacity of nearly 99,500.

Come on, squeeze in another 500.

The plan is to move some of the visiting fan tickets that are currently in the lower SEZ to the new upper deck in the SEZ, per someone in TAF.

It'd be hard to do. We have to give visitors a certain amount of lower bowl tickets and if we scatter we might risk messing up someone's season tickets. I would be pissed if away fans were posted all around me.

That doesn't look good at all in the end zones.

I think i can safely say it isnt going to look like that at all. They wont leave that much of a gap between the upper decks. Our upperdecks are much closer anyway. I think the SC comparison is a bad one, and i havent even seen one design.

Alleva said the plan is for the exterior of the south stadium expansion to architecturally match the exterior of the north side of the stadium, complete with arches and similar looking windows

This makes me happy

They will be similar to ones in the corners of Bryant-Denny Stadium but larger, Alleva said.

Its bigger than that but it doesn't connect to form one solid horseshoe.
Has big screens in the corners.
