I know that the best stand-up comedians have been discussed ad-nauseum on here, but which comedian has the best stand-up concert/performance of all time?

My pick is Robin Williams: Live on Broadway. Honorable mentions are Dave Chappelle: Killing Them Softly, Stephen Lynch's Comedy Central Presents, Jim Gaffigan: Beyond the Pale.

What does everyone else think?

I think that's a terrible choice...Robin Williams has never done anything for me.

Raw and Delirious have to be near the top of any list. If performances include documentaries, then Comedians of Comedy and Mr. Warmth are more than excellent.

Seinfeld's Comedian is a great documentary. Really shows you what goes into making a routine.

Well, we could also add Larry David in that Curb episode. But I'm looking for a more pure stand-up show. And I have always been a big fan of Robin Williams and he does have some of the more famous jokes ever in that stand-up with the Scottish golf joke, the Canadian snowboarder, and so on. Richard Pryor is a great choice. It doesn't even have to be a great comedian, just a great performance like Black on Broadway by Lewis Black (not a huge fan of his, but this performance was hilarious).

Yeah, but that is why I nominated Live on the Sunset Strip. If only for the Mafia club bit. But the monkey bit is in there as well.

"What's wrong Rich? Your monkey died? Damn. I was going to eat him too."

Plus the Afica trip: "frick you. Ain't no rabbit ever looked at me like that before."

Demetri Martin - Person.
Martin Lawrence - You So Crazy
Chappelle - Killing Them Softly, For What It's Worth
Chris Rock - Bring the Pain, Bigger and Blacker
Bo Burnham - Words, Words, Words

Love these two, but I have met a lot of people who are not fans of their humor. You actually have to think about some of the jokes sometimes haha.

That's a great one that I don't think gets talked about enough in these threads. It really is spectacular.

Besides that one, my picks are pretty standard:

Dave Chappelle: Killing Them Softly
Eddie Murphy: Both Raw and Delirious
Bill Cosby: Himself
Richard Pryor: Is it Something I said?

I keep this on my phone, probably listen to certain tracks at least once a week.

I have always enjoyed Sinbad's Son of a Preacher Man.

He is always a good choice, because he was probably the greatest at dealing with hecklers, which always made his shows quite entertaining.

Stephen Lynch was the original, and I know for awhile his Comedy Central Presents show was their highest rated show ever. He has also gone on to have a very successful broadway career. Bynum is good, but Lynch has classics like Superhero, If I was Gay, Craig, and Special Olympics.
