computer help needed: what program to open a db file?

ETA: Everything I google wants me to buy an antivirus program or something. I am hoping there is a way to open it without downloading some crap I don't want/need.

database? like MS access

I exported my text files and it sent to my email as .db file... I can't find a compatible program to open it in. I googled how to open and every page I look at has a download that tries to sell me an anti virus program.

openoffice.org has a free office suite that is compatible with ms office.
