Houston Rodeo BBQ cookoff parking?

Is there enough parking on site? Can a spot be had?

Are there passes on StubHub or anything? We want to go tomorrow? Wife won't be getting tore up like me so driving is an option.

So much of the lots are taken by BBQ tent space?

I went tonight. Parked on the street on La Concussion for free. Walked a few blocks and took the shuttle tram to the gate. The reliant lots are parking pass only. There are a few pay lots around the area though. A lot of people park in midtown, museum district or Med center and ride the light rail in.

Are there parking passes available on Stub Hub etc?

I've been lucky enough to park in front of a friends business. You might want to try parking in the Med District and taking the light rail, but once again I've never had this issue and I hate the rodeo so I might not be the best person to help you.

I'm not sure if there are passes available. Maybe check Craigslist.

Plenty of typical Reliant Parking, Metro Park and Rides and of course, Metro Rail.

You can get tickets at the gate, but ONLY gets you into the cook-off grounds; you still need individual passes to get into the individual tents.

I know all of this and UPDATE!!! This year was ridiculous. I have never seen the rodeo cookoff this packed. And the pass that we had to a tent was shite. Some places give away or take money for about 2,000 passes but only are fire code rated for about 400-500. Horse shite !!!!

Waste of a night out.

Which tent did you go to? I saw some crazy big lines to get into some last night.

I went to a few different tents last night. Had to wait a few minutes for each of them.

Shooters and Sorters or some shite like that.

It looked like a new nightclub that no one gets into. Was ridiculous. Don't give out that many tickets.

We handed our tickets to some guy who looked about 21 and his buddy. His eyes lit up like he saw boobs for the first time. He was willing to wait. Hope HE had a good time.

Went last night, had wristbands to the 2 Steppers/Waste Management tent. There was a line to get in.
