del Bosque said he is just playing too poor.

No surprise here.

Villa being injured makes this an even bigger slap in the face.

Every time I look at the names in the Midfielders section for Spain's roster I shake my head in astonishment, then sigh and sink into depression.

I presume you do that when you look at Barca's roster as well

I'm convinced that they could field a team composed entirely of midfielders and beat most of the world

Cazorla-Busquets-Martínez-Muniain
Alonso-Xavi-Silva
Mata-Cesc-Iniesta

Better CB pairing than the US...

I truly think if he would have stayed at Pool he would have found his form long ago. The stupidest move of his career was to leave right when we get new owners who were willing to throw the kitchen sink at the transfer market, all to build around him.

Sad to see.

Didn't he recently come out and insinuate that he was pushed out the door by Liverpool? Anyways not so sure the new owners would be throwing so much money around if they didn't have the 50 mil that the Torres sale brought in. But I do agree that he would have found his form long ago had he stayed.

That should be illegal. They'd still have fricking Thiago Alcantara coming off of the bench

Did he? Never heard that. That wasn't the way it looked by how he left.

Hell, they spent 35 of that on Carroll, so it's not like they had a mountain of cash to throw around from that. Bottom line is Torres is finished. He has lost it. Of course Spain dropped him, if he's not careful, Chelsea will as well. Sooner the better IMO.
