If LSU fails to make the NCAA Tourney at the end of the season do you start looking for a new coach? Even if he makes the NIT.

This basketball program needs some Bruce Pearl in their life...assuming he keeps it a "clean" program...

I think if LSU is patient with TJ he returns LSU basketball to consistent quality. His first year he had established players and did well with them. But his choice as coach made several players change their commitments and he is just now building a program that can compete.

Remember Coach K at Duke had a 38-47 record his first three years after inheriting a well-established program from Bill Foster (1978 NCAA runner-up to KY). Coach K did not get to the NCAA until his FOURTH season and finished 7th in the ACC in his third season.

I think if we give TJ three more years he will have us consistently in the NCAA.

You can have all these opinions about the job TJ has done but its hard to fire a coach with

1) An SEC Title
2) A sudden upward trend in winning percentage.

I'm glad you showed us that you're not really an LSU fan but just some troll.

I think he stays around.

I'm still on the fence with him. The last two years have been miserable, but I can see the direction he's taking the team.

However, I still don't see us being great next year. If we could land a stud SG that could score at will, then we'd be in a better spot.

Is it just me, or does anyone else have to put the closed captions on when TJ is talking to try and understand what he is saying.

I'd take that bet in a heartbeat. TJ is getting another year.

Ta da. But if everyone stays, we'll be slightly better but less deep, unless we go back to using Stringer as a PG.

I would love bruce pearl tommorow but assuming we finish strong there is absolutely no way TJ gets fired at the end of the season. He has definitely earned that privilage. However....pending the outcome of this season and next Bruce Pearls show cause penalty runs out in 2014....

Honestly though as a TJ doubter Im very proud of this team and how hard they have fought over the past couple weeks...things really seem like they are turning around!
