I hear ya...but he only really needs to be effective in a ten yard radius. if he has feet and flex he is worth a scholly and like you said, "you can't teach size."

For an OG, it's more important to look at bench press and long jump numbers. You can't expect a guy who weighs 340 to run around 5.0 40.

who do you think pulls and block on toss sweeps? also, who do you think lead blocks for HB screens?

no, guards HAVE to be mobile to get out in front of the back in certain situations.... this is one reason that you don't see sumo wrestlers coming over, in droves mind you, to the NFL.... they are powerful and explosive for about 3 seconds, but as an offensive lineman you have to be mobile enough to get to the second level of defenders, especially at guard.....

you are right about the not expecting a guy to run 5.0 when he weighs 340..... he's too fat.... he needs to trim down, and gain some speed....

they are non-zero, and thus its all up to you, TD, Les and caprice da natur.

This will be a test of the effectiveness of your prayers.

pray that he choose Louisiana State University and Louisiana College of Agriculture and Mining aka LSU.
Do it. Pray. see him. hear his Samoan war chant. feel his mighty thump as he walks by.

Hot damn.

That depends on what system you run...

How many times do you see LSU's G ever pull on a counter? Practically never. Because LSU doesn't even run them. LSU basically just lines up and runs straight down hill hitting you with the HB toss straight up the middle...
