I've never played the first 2 in this series. Would I have to in order to really enjoy and play this one?

Bioware says they got it where new players can jump right in.

I think they will have a tool you can use to choose all the big decsions made through the first two games.

You don't have to have played the first two to enjoy this one, but I'd highly recommend it. Not just for the story aspects, but also the fact that they're both amazing games

Mass Effect games are like the only new "original" series games that have come out in the past 5 years. I really liked Mass Effect 1 and 2. I miss the days when game developers actually put effort into making diverse, interesting and long campaigns. Donkey Kong 64, Mario 64, Zelda... so many old games>new "recycled garbage" games.

Dragon Age games are this way too.. Bioware had an excellent track record of creating new content until their latest game...

Also on topic!!

I think I spied a Mako in that trailer. Anyone up to awkwardly float around strange planet terrain?!?

Yeah, I just hope I'm not driving it this time. That was my main complaint with ME1. I hated drving that clunky thing around.

I still want mako battles where I can get the enemies to a sliver of life left, jump out of the mako, and kill it for thousands of XP!!

I know I'm definitely in the minority on this one, but I freaking loved the Mako missions. The best one to me was the one where Shepard has a flashback through prehistoric man's eyes. I also loved climbing impossibly steep mountains like a boss. In comparison to the mining mini-game, driving the Mako was superb.

I really hope the ending isn't lame. I have no reason to expect it to be so, I just really hope it isn't cliched like Shep finds some ancient superweapon hidden by the Protheans on Mars or something. I've always thought of a biotechnological virus knocking them out.

I'm curious how many Reapers there actually are because every new trailer implies more and more.

You know I really think Bioware is driving home how all of humanity is drawn into the fight.

SPOILERS FROM THE DEMO:

By killing off the boy from the demo and the implied killing of this little girl, they are really driving home the epicness of the fight.

SPOILERS FROM THE DEMO:
Without a doubt. I hope this story hits hard. It is one thing to lose allies, but to watch kids die is a whole different ballgame.

I finally got to play the demo last night, and I cannot wait for the 6th. I just want this story to end as amazingly as it started.

Here are a few of the things I want to happen:

- Bring back the Mako. I actually liked the Mako driving and fights.
- Bring back the Rachni. I hope that the Rachni come back in force to help me out. I saved them in ME1 and then you find out in ME2 that the queen will come to help in the battle. Epic would be the only description.
- Bring back every team member from ME2 and throw in some new ones. Liara is returning which is awesome and Ashley will be back on your team. I want my own personal army. Also, I'm guessing that the dude at the beginning of the demo will be an ally. He looked too different from everyone else and had to big of a role not to be.
- Throw in some new biotic/tech powers, new weapons of mass destruction, etc. I want to be able to kill things in a bunch of new ways.
- Return the game to its more RPG elements from ME1. They went more FPS than RPG in two (it definitely worked), but I liked the greater RPG elements of 1.
- Make March 6th get here faster.

It seems that they did damn well with the multiplayer, which is a great sign.

I'm excited to see a more diverse power tree that allows more customization for individual powers. The inclusion of so many of the characters we know and love also just solidifies how badass the game is going to be. Also the guy you mentioned is James Vega and he will be voiced by the greatest actor of our generation Freddie Prinze Jr.

BTW after you got off of the demo we made two successful Silver runs. After the first one I got a Drell Vanguard. I'm getting my swag up.

Yes, I agree. I really like how you can choose to either go the route of increased damage, increased spread, etc.. They definitely did a good job with that.

It has really reached the level of being close to an epic movie. I can't think of a single character throughout the game that I really didn't like. There are many that I never really used in battle, like Tali, but I never disliked any of the characters. Each one has such an awesome story.

Badass. Just one more addition to the epic list of awesome that is this game.

Awesome. I'll be on later tonight after I get through studying. We'll have to run through some silver then.
