No, he will continue to be a situational reliever.

He hasn't pitched yet huh? Unless he came in last night when I stopped paying attention.

In fact, who did come out the pin last night?

Broussard pitched the 6th and 7th. Cotton the 8th and Rumbelow the 9th.

I know it's been against lesser competition, but I've really loved seeing how much better our bullpen is looking this year, hope they hold up against SEC teams

Yea, it is too early to tell even if we had played decent teams. 2 games is not enough of a sample, especially against weak teams, but they should be improved this year.

If the bats stay alive (I know it's not against great pitching and it will slack off some) then a solid bullpen is the key. Our starters will be money all year.

Did Mainieri also say Nola will get a spot start here and there during 5 game weeks?

I'm sure Little Nola sees plenty of action.

I'm sure Glenn, Nola, and Broussard will get a chance

Any word on how Joey Bourgeious (sp??) is doing? He was a weekend starter before getting injured. To still be on the team the coaches must feel that he has a chance of being better than he was before. I wonder if he will come back in a midweek starter roll, or just fill in the bullpen. Maybe we will see him a little today out of the pen.

w/ a 6+ ERA. thank god for GEM, barring injury we won't need to see this dude make any meaningful starts this year.

He wasn't our only problem that year. And at times he showed flashes of being decent. He was also a true freshman then. I'm not saying he should ever crack the starting rotation this year, but he has to be showing something for the coaches to keep him around.
