I think Milburn is on the backburner. He won't get offer unless others are lost, like Hammink, IMO.

Bubba, I read upon this guy and he originally committed yo ULM. Has he now proven to be SEC material?

He was SEC material before, but academic issues caused him to sign with ULM. He was a Rivals 150 player in high school.

He is currently the No. 8 junior college recruit.

Thanks Bubba. Sounds like an interesting prospect. I was a fan of Geert's. We are about the same age so it wasn't unusual to see him out. A real down to earth guy.

Andre Stringer has really improved his defense since he came back, credit to him. Also, I like that he's not settling for the 27 foot 3 pointers. He's actually driving into the lane.

I think Stringer's improvement has been the key to this team the last few games. Great defense, and better offense. He and Turner have been shooting well.

I know the competition hasn't been "great" but the team is starting to find its inside-out game a little more in the last few games (I actually thought they exectuted well against Vandy, they just couldn't get ANY outside shots to fall)

It's become almost a given that 2 of the 3 (Storm/JOB/Hamilton) are going to get double-figures. If LSU can work inside-out, then Turner and Stringer are going to get more good looks at rhythm 3's. IMO, both guys are really more "shooters" than "scorers", and contrary to what most of the rant thinks, previous history has shown that both can really shoot it well from the outside.

:kige:
I told my dad the same thing this weekend. If Stringer is on or at least not ice cold our team has a chance. When he's throwing up brick after brick it kills any momentum and the rest of our team isn't good enough to cover up his poor play. But when he plays like he has since bama we can compete with anybody.

Stringer realized he wasn't getting the threes to fall so he started driving and I think he is amazed at how much better of a player it has made him. He has been great passing out of his drives and has gotten to the hole and scored some points. Its amazing that Eddie Ludwig is shooting a better % from three land though.

It's really not, though, when you consider the quality of shots. Stringer could probably shoot a very solid percentage, but he takes too many contested and long jumpers. At his height, he needs to be wide open to shoot with his toes on the line, so he ends up shooting from about 28 to get a shot off.

He has certainly improved a lot over the last 3 games, and it's a big part of this mini-streak we're on. We just have to hope he keep playing within himself, because he certainly kills any offensive flow when he starts jacking up bad shots.
