CPM doesn't want it to be a mental distraction to pitchers. at least thats what he told the coaches committee a season or 2 ago when someone asked.

I can see that side of the argument. You don't want your pitcher throwing to try and hit #s on the board. Also, as you've seen, some of the ones in the other SEC stadiums are not accurate. I've seen many 90+ MPH change ups. That being said, I'd like to see one in the Box.

I went to a minor league park in oklahoma city a couple years ago. The scoreboard had every pitcher throwing at least 100mph

I refuse to buy the underground excuse as to why they can't hang a 300 lbs batters eye. There has to be a work around.

It might weigh more than 300 lbs, but it is certainly doable.

Any high school industrial arts department could put one up in a week. Where there's a will, there's a way. Apparently, there's no will in the LSUAD to correct embarrassing conditions in one of the top stadiums in college baseball.
Any other canvas "Batters Eyes" in the SEC?
