"Teams are doing their due diligence on Flynn now before they commit to the expected $10 million per year deal that it will take to sign him."

$10 mil per.....what a good position to be in. This is a nice, in depth writeup from a former GM.

Sorry if Germans.....the article came out today, I searched and ran through 2 days of posts and didn't see it.

Ironic that he'll probably wind up richer than JR

I hope he lands with a franchise that makes some good moves to help him out down the road

Was any reason ever given for why the Packers drafted two QBs in the 2008 draft - Brian Brohm in the 2nd and Flynn in the 7th.....especially when they had such a young starting QB in Aaron Rodgers?

I would assume that they wanted Brohm to be their backup and liked him then when they got to the 7th they didnt have any one that jumped out at them and maybe Flynn was alot higher on their boards and figured they couldnt pass him up

They were right in the fact of not passing up Flynn

That is incredible! 10 Million per?

If the Saints tag Drew Brees, he gets 14-15 Million this year. Flynn might only be 4-5 million less? Wow!

GMs and coaches can't speak publicly about impending free agents, but several have told me their scouting reports on Flynn state: good to very good in the following categories -- arm strength, quick release, accuracy, athleticism and mobility (especially moving in the pocket); hard worker, smart, tough, composed, great competitor, an excellent teammate and leader; good character.
