It is amazing how people let 1 win alter their mindset and emotions

If the MSU player hits the free throw and Hickey misses the runner in the lane, then everyone wants Trent fired. B/c that didn't happen, now everyone is talking about being on the Trent wagon and the NCAA resume.
Reality check. The program is bottom tier in the SEC with little fan support, except for some of the dorkiest students on campus. This team likely splits the remaining schedule and loses in the first round of the NIT.

If you had just clicked on this rant for the 1st time and read all the articles about the game with State, one would think LSU loved Trent and thinks this team will play in the NCAA tournament........
It's amazing what a win will do for a fan base and what losses will do.........

This team is NIT quality. Period. I am glad they won, I hope they win each game, but if anyone thinks they are NCAA quality, that person is either blind or retarded.

Screw the ifs, man. If you can't enjoy a very exciting finish to a game that started miserably and then went back and forth, then why feel the need to complain about the fans reacting?
It's a tired act seeing the doom and gloomers trying to come here and be the voice of reason and checking down the fanbase after an enjoyable win. It's the same shite over and over.
Yeah we won 5 games combined in 09-10 and 10-11, but screw it. We've won 5 games now this season and I'm happy about beating a ranked team.

no it is idiots that think this team could end up in the NCAA tourney this year or idiots that want Les Miles fired b/c he lost the NCG that make this board suck.
i am just real. the football program is in great shape. the basketball program is in bad shape, but it is approaching being mediocre. take a look at the fan support in the stands and you have your answer.

I agree with the other poster's "your a douche" comment. You are a complete douche. Trent Johnson is a great coach but may be laking on the recruiting a bit. However this team is low seed March Madness quality if they continue to grow. In that starting five you have 3 new faces and one guy that has somewhat changed positions. You have great depth in the front court along with talent. This team will go as far as the true freshman Hickey will take them and im sure this overtime against a ranked oponent helped him for the future. After this win, they will finish no worse than 4-1. BET!

Some of you are amazing.No one is comparing this LSU team to the '96 Kentucky team nor Trent to Dean Smith.
But a team that has been just awful has an exciting home win on TV over a ranked team and a lot of us were happy about it.
However, the douchebag patrol just can't enjoy anything. No, this was a 'bad win' because Trent's offense isn't that good or he didn't cuss the team out in the first half.
Amazing.
