Ever met a person who didn't like it? One of my favorite movies. Only asking because when talking to a friend the other day he stated how he has fallen asleep watching it 4 times and thinks it's boring.

Pretty good thread on it not too long ago with a lot of people who didn't like it.

Most women think it's stupid, like my wife and daughter. My son and I laughed our arse off.

Yea, there certainly is a large group of people that do not like, more like hate, The Big Lebowski on this board. Many of those posters claim that it is overrated; I proclaim that the split of love and hate leaves the movie properly rated.

Yea most women I know don't get it. Guess I didn't think about that until after I posted. I thought it was hilarious partly because it was quotable as well.

There isn't a single movie that you won't be able to find somebody who doesn't like it.

I didnt get the love the first time I saw it, but I watched it a couple more times, it got more hilarious the more I watched it.

I thought it was ok. Maybe partly because it was built up to be so much by everyone. I liked and it found it amusing but not amazing or one of my favorites by far.

I've tried to watch it 3 times and have fallen asleep. I thought it was funny just kept falling asleep. Will finish it one day.

This is one of the few movies I finally saw after wanting to see it for years; and it lived up to the hype. Honestly, it takes a little while to get into it. But I thought it was hilarious. John Goodman alone is hysterical. (One of the reasons I want to see The Artist).

You want a toe? I can get you a toe by 3 o'clock.

I can see why girls wouldn't like it. Julianne Moore is the only one presented in a slightly positive light and she is pretty flakey herself.

I don't hate it, but I'm not a huge fan of it. It's easily one of the most overrated movies on this board.

^About the same for me. Don't know why I took so long to watch it. But once I did, and after all the talk about it, I was disappointed. Still a good movie, but didn't amaze me.

I liked Bridges in "Rancho Deluxe" better. His much, much earlier take on the stoner flick.

Even had the great Jimmy Buffett soundtrack and cameo

I fall in the middle on it. It was worth a watch, but I'm not gonna run out and tell everyone about it.

This is one of those movies that separates the men from the boys.

It took me a few watchings to really fall in love with it.

It only took me 1 watching to fall in love with A Serious Man, though.

It should be required Coen Bros. viewing, IMO.

It's terrible. Even watched it a 3rd time to be sure. An embarrassment to the Coens' magnificent body of work.

1. No Country
2. Raising Arizona
3. O'Brother
4. Fargo
5. Miller's Crossing
6. Blood Simple
7. True Grit
the other movies

?? The Big Lebowski

Ditto, too much Jeff Bridges grinds on me.
