At some point, Monty is responsible for these losses

I'm really starting to question his coaching ability more and more. I understand we aren't the most talented team, but he seems to make really stupid game day decision. Where the hell was Henry for the second half? Why was Ayon off the court until the the Kings had come back and the game was basically out of reach? It's like he stops making adjustments at crunch time, outcome be damned.
If he's trying to lose, I don't want him. If he's not trying to lose, I'm not sure I want him.

It is mind blowing that this team, hell any team can be so fricking bad in the 4th period. How in the hell can they tank it so bad in the 4th?

The constant fourth quarter collapses are 100% on the coaches. We don't have the talent to consistently compete and win night in night out right now but when you have a lead in the fourth, especially comfortable leads, you should win more often than not.

Pay attention to our rotations. He always reverts back to "veterans" in the 4th until the team blows us away. So, instead of Henry, we had Beli.

We make no 4th quarter moves. The guys that are supposed to play the 4th, play no matter what. No substitutions. Bring in a couple of the bench player that were taking it to the basket in the 2nd!!

Henry not playing until the middle of the 4th after having a good 2nd quarter and providing a spark was such a huge mystery to me.
I listened to Gerry v's post game show On the way home from the game last night and someone asked about Henry and Gerry v made up excuses for Monty not playing him saying that he still looks uncomfortable on the court. That is bullshite IMO.

It's the same crap as with Thornton. I really don't know what it will take for Beli to lose minutes.

The Hornets have nobody(other than EG who can't/won't play) who can consistently score.
They collapse late because of this. Late in the game you either need a guy who can create and make his own shot or someone who can create a good look for a teammate.
Who's going to make the shots when they need it consistently?
Who
Who's going to create a good look for someone else and even if we had that, who's going to actually make the shot?
This team just isn't good and lacks talent. The best thing that can happen to the Hornets is happening. Hopefully whoever the 2 guys are that we draft, at least 1 will be a superstar.

I don't expect Monty to finish the season because I think a huge coup d'etat is going to erupt on the bench by the players very soon. I understand the injury bug but the tension between some of the players and Monty is so thick you can cut it with a butter knife.
Someone said last night that EG attended the game to give Kaman support since it was his first game back with the team. EG has attended very few games this year.

eh, I dunno. I think the tank is out of Monty's control and the players know that.

Monty is doing a good job just keeping this shite team competitive almost every game. Our best player right now is Emeka Okafor. Think about that for a minute.

I'm not defending Monty because his rotations do need work and it'd be nice if he could do for team offense what he does for team defense. However I don't think your specific complaints hold water.
Henry didn't really impress me. IIRC he got 2 good baskets, lucked into 2 more. Blew 2 free throws and looked pretty awkward on all his other shots. On defense he looked a step behind a lot.
Ayon wasn't that good this game. He was actually close to being a stud, literally inches away from several more boards and points, but close doesn't count.
Who is he going to go to? I really don't think you can dismiss the talent part of the equation. Most of these anti Monty threads start out with "I understand we have no talent but" and then go on to complain about problems that wouldn't exist if the team were more talented and less injured.
Long term that is a question, but for the next year or 2 he should be fine.

He's really not utilizing his talent well tho. Just like the OP said, when you play the fourth quarter with no rotation, then your offense stagnates and the other team becomes keyed in on what you're bringin every play.
With the lineup we have, we should be gettin to the line at least 15/game....and thats coaching due to the plays that he calls.

this has been a Montel era concern fa sho. What happened to Jack? I was in class for the start of the game and noticed he wasn't playing when I got out (didn't flip it on till 4th quarter)

He's missed the last 3 games with injury.
