On Thursday night, McNeil trimmed his list to five schools. “Alabama, LSU, Georgia, Florida, and Miami are my final five schools,” said Josh McNeil (6’5/240). McNeil will visit Alabama this Saturday and Sunday. On Monday, he will head to Georgia. He will also visit the school that offered him tonight very soon. “I just confirmed I will be taking a visit to LSU with Lewis Neal (6’2/235) when he goes on June 23,” he said.

So any of you keeping up with Eddie Vanderdoes? Dude is a monster..6'4 302 Ib defensive end from California who says he has relatives in BR/Louisiana and could see himself here

He could pull the trigger after teh LSU-Bama game in November...we need to get ALL OOS recruits to that game as that will be the best football game of the year

Anyone else think he could make a stud linebacker? I mean dont get me wrong there have been great smallish DE's but he is just very quick off the snap

I think he will be looked at as a LB first. Lateral quickness and whatever his projected natural size is will likely determine if he plays on the line or in the gap. I see a 4.95 40 on Rivals - that is not super encouraging, but he was certainly offered based on camp performance - there's more to playing football than raw measurables.

(Rickey Jackson famously ran 5.0/5.1 second 40s - but was fast enough in the game to get the job done.)
