Does anyone else like Koyaanisqatsi as much as I do?

Particularly the music, by Philip Glass. I absolutely love it. It is stuck in my head and will not stop.

I saw this at a theater in Houston a couple of years back. Very artsy. I stayed awake for most of it.

I have friends who love it. It loses me about halfway through. There's only so many natural landscapes contrasted with the modern world I can take without character, plot, or dialog.
If that makes me a philistine, than I am one.

Much like Blade Runner, I first saw this movie when I was fricked out of my mind, so I thought it was some piece of God Art. The second time around it just seemed interesting if not a little overlong and redundant, i.e. some scenes could have been slain on the cutting room floor.
If you like Koyaanisqatsi, check out Robert Fricke's Baraka, which is extremely similar but, in my opinion, even more hypnotizing and interesting to follow as a mostly non-narrative film. It's also shot on better film and the imagery is more vivid and memorable. Fricke, by the way, was cinematographer for Koyaanisqatsi.
