The people who are disappointed need to take a closer look at our class. We aren't top heavy with 5 stars but aside from our long snapper we also don't have any duds that have no chance of being good. There aren't any Duplessis', or josh johns, or kellen theriots on our list. Pretty much every player has a chance of being a stud, but since we have no 5 stars people want to complain.

For all the people disappointed, which of our signees do you think aren't LSU caliber.

You can't handle objectivity. There is good and bad. Unless you want to read about both, you don't need to be on these sites.

Second:
Kiel - if you even followed 1/10th of his recruitment you would know that the kid has been all over the place. He first lists OU/bama as his 1 and 2. He then commits to freaking Indiana. You're telling me that the #1 QB in all of HS football is going to go to Indiana? Give me a freaking break. So now, LSU is the clear #1, he wants to get back in the limelight, so he states he's coming here. Then pulls a complete 180 and chooses ND out of nowhere? He was NEVER coming here. And another thing, he did not want to compete for playing time.

Collins - He's stated he's been all bama for 2 years, not to mention he was following his high school trim there.

Devall - does not fit our defensive system. Nothing more, nothing less.

Davis - like it's been said over, and over. He was the only one that was a shock to lose.

Well spoken. I think some of our assessments are distorted by the funk from the BCSCG. We didn't won't any disappointments and were even hoping for the a "rabbit out of the hat." Unfortunately, we get a disappointment but no big surprise so there's an element of disappointment still around.

Losing Miller was mostly a quirk of trying to maximize our class and how the EE's played out. And losing out on Davis hurt - today (the pain usually subsides with recruit losses pretty quickly).

It's a very good class. I'll give it a 7.5 out of 10.

8 - feeling very good about the state of LSU football. If we don't lose Toshiro I would've said a 9, but a gut punch at the end of the day takes a little wind out of the sails, but all in all we are really good shape to compete for the NC for several years.

I do not have any problem with your reasoning. I have a problem with you being so absolute about the situation. There are too many what if variables and I hate playing the what if game tbh.

Also, I noticed you mentioned Hunter, I think he will be our best recruit out of this class. People will be amazed once he starts playing.

It's a solid class, no doubt. Just not spectacular.

I admit, not having a proverbial 5* sux, but

13-1, SEC champs, national runner-up...I mean, frick, that resume' should recruit itself.

adds a whole new dimension to the massive amount of fail I witnessed with wasting talent and being hardheaded.

Smoke all over again...I pray I'm wrong.

Good point and Rivals has a Birmingham biased, but

the rest of the pundits sure offer no accolades for our masterful wizard.

We never should have let Bama get that close to him two years ago then. And we should have been on top of the GF situation before they were.

BS. An athlete that talented, that close to home, from basically a LSU feeder school--it's our job to convince him he fits our system and then make it happen.

LOL, are you the one that claimed he only committed for free tickets to the NCG? Kid wanted to come to LSU, then chickened out for whatever reason

Everyone else's recruitment played out exactly like it was going to from the beginning.
Except for Miller, our best OL recruit, whom we screwed the pooch on because we can't count to five.

I'm not saying the sky is falling, it's a fine class. But the rationalizations for losing these guys are terrible.

7 We lost out on some fine in state talent, but our signees are fleet and solid. Nothing to be ashamed of here.
