Keep 3 players that are currently on the roster.

Use them to back-count EE's next year so we can sign some extra dudes, maybe.

Send them down the MS to the Gulf? I really didn't know we had 3 ships. I thought is was 1 ship and 1 barge. Really don't understand the question.

IIRC, this was the last year to back count players. This is why Alabama signed 40 players this year.

Next year starts the "hard cap" of 25 players.

I believe.

25 per year, but 85 on roster. We don't have a ton of seniors next year and it was looking as though we would not be able to sign 25 next year (depending upon attrition). Not signing a full class this year helps us with the 85 limit next year.

You are correct. Well, at least until Saban finds the loophole.
