Recruiting isnt based on how many guys you bring in out of your state. It isnt on how many ESPN 150 recruits you land. It is about getting character players that fit your scheme and more so about filling your needs. We over filled our biggest need.
This is a great recruiting class and there will always be a diamond in the rough guy. Good luck to all LSU players.

So Collins, Kiel, Deval, Davis, Miller, Borque would not have filled needs?

Hell Yeah!

I for one want to get back to the days of seeing the Marshall Faulks and Reggie Waynes leave the state. Leaves more room for character guys like Chad Loupe!

Collins was replaced with Corey Thompson
Kiel was replaced with Liggins.
Davis was replaced with Kwon Alexander.
Borque was replaced with Jeremy Hill.

The Miller thing was just a bad gamble over Kiel because this was about early enrollment.

So other programs got better players and we settled for lesser players or players with a sexual crime on their record?

There is no way to spin losing Collins and Kiel as good things for our program.

Kwon and Davis are totally different type of players, different talents and skill sets not to mention Kwon is coming off an injury and may not recover fully to an elite level.

Keep trying to explain it away but losing elite talent and replacing it with lesser talent is what Ole Miss does not LSU.

This is not a case where our staff did better evals on kids like Honey Badger, we wanted the kids we lost (with possible exception of Borque) we never would have stayed after kids like Liggins and Thompson had we got the guys we wanted in Collins and Kiel to suggest otherwise is a lie.
