I think that he can be a very good WR's coach because he has a lot of experience in both college and the NFL, but the most important thing that we need right now is a good recruiter, and its showing..

With the loss of Billy Gonzalez, Frank Wilson is the only exceptional recruiter left of our staff..

Does anyone know if Adam Henry has any recruiting skill?

Desean Smith is a 2013 TE for Barbe in Lake Charles (Where Adam Henry played and coached at Mcneese)

Smith could maybe be the top TE in the class

Prom should be able to spread some enlightenment on how Henry performed at McNeese.

Henry is an interesting hire with good potential. He grew up in SE Texas, played for McNeese, coached WRs and was OC at McNeese for around 7-8 years I think. He has spent the last 2-3 years coaching the TEs for the Oakland Raiders. I would assume that his background would allow him to have extensive personal knowledge of Louisiana and east Texas.

Agree. Henry will be a HUGE help with making sure we get Smith. He has strong ties to SWLA and SE Texas.

This is a big time hire! Both for coaching and recruiting!

I am actually warming up to him for recruiting. Hope he does come here. Im thinking he must know coaches in that area of Texas that he either played with or played under.

This guy should be really good. He's been out of college for while but once he knocks the rust off I think he'll been a goldmine as a recruiter.

Nah. There is no connection there I wouldn't think. My brother knows Henry pretty good. I've met him a couple times and think he and Frank would be able to tear shite up.

Link could probably correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm willing to bet that Henry will hit the Houston area hard.

McNeese's sole recruiting grounds are La. and SE Texas. Houston will be Henry's recruiting grounds.

Not just Houston. A lot of good recruits come out of places like Beaumont, Port Arthur, Orange, Vidor, etc. This has potential.

Yeah, he killed it in Beaumont and Houston area for McNeese. I'm not sure how that fits in with Special Teams coach (never can remember his name). I think it's his area. I think Henry could be that National type of guy. My only reservation is how long he has been out of college recruiting scene.

True, but you want to start with Houston. Work your way east.
