Did this last season kill college football for anyone besides...

myself? I find myself totally uninterested in recruiting, spring practice, next season, etc.

A rematch of OSU and Michigan would have killed college football for me six years ago. The rematch this year killed it for me.

I don't believe I'll ever follow it like I once did. I won't follow recruiting anymore; I won't pay to attend any college football game; I'll be the most casual of college football fans.

I'm not sure they can ever do anything to get me back. It's almost dead in my eyes.

I've always enjoyed pro-tennis, college basketball, the NFL, and golf in that order, but I can now say that college football will be behind golf now. It was only behind tennis previously.

The BCSCG was dispiriting for everyone.
The recruiting downturn is simply symptommatic.
Don't let anybody BS you about that.

If you lost your passion that easily, you must not have been a true fan to begin with. Unfortunately for us dumbasses who are, we look to next year

Watching pro tennis is like watching grass grow or paint dry. Same with golf on TV. I don't like the silence of those two sports. I don't like the "tennis clap" or "golf clap" instead of cheering your butt off.

I wasn't excited about the Bama rematch but I cannot wait until next season to see what happens post-JJ/JL.

No. Actually, watching the first 7 or 8 LSU games this year renewed my interest. It was awesome watching the passing offense perform so well after watching the prior two years. Those prior two years were so painfull to watch due to the wretched offensive performance. Can't wait till next year when the total offense package can be put in place and LSU will roll!

No, you are all alone. I love college football. Its about the only sport that I really take too seriously.

It's not the same as last year at this time, for sure but by summer I will be ready for football season. It's a good thing, I was restless all last winter/spring.

I'm totally confused by the OP. Is it LSU related, i.e. LSU's season? Or is it college football in general, i.e. the fact that there was a rematch?

Honestly, Roger...I don't get that. Win or lose that game on 1/9 and we're the exact same team we are now...with MAYBE the exception of RR not going, but the more I hear him talk to his boys the more it seemed he was ready to get paid.

I'll admit, it was hard to do the normal fan thing the day or so after LSU's loss to BAMA...you know, that "Wow...we're gonna be GREAT next season!" thing you love to do coming off a win. But the truth is...LSU IS going to be great in 2012. And unless you happen to think there is some endemic problem eating away at the foundation of the program (an opinion I find laughable btw) then I really don;t see how a fan can't be excited about the 2012 team LSU is going to field.

Gosh...I really wish LSU had pulled off the perfect season in 2011 and we'd be heading into 2012 loaded AND with a 4th flag flying proudly over Tiger Stadium, but I'm content simply heading in 2012 loaded and having had one of the greatest season in Tiger's history at our backs.

Honestly...I'm looking forward to 2012 way more than I was to 2011.

Quit being such a fricking pussy, and get your head back in the game! So fricking what if it wasn't fair the way the season played out. We are still LSU! College football is like anything else man, it has its fair share of bull shite and politicking that makes you throw up in your mouth. If you have gone through life never realizing that is the case with anything and everything you do, then you are naive at best or just fricking daft at worst. Get over it man and GEAUX TIGERS!!!

Yes, it killed it. For about....a day and a half
It is not possible for me to be uninterested in football. Been that way since Oct. 25, 1969 in Death Valley and August 24, 1970 in Tulane Stadium.
Simply put, I love September to January. Love it.
Football, fall leaves, cold weather, the holidays, tailgating, crowd noise, etc....

You better believe it. I hope we never start the season out 13-0 ,win the SEC by stomping Georgia by 32 in the Georgia Dome and suffering our lone loss in the National Title game.

Maybe we'll limp to 7-5 and go to Nashville for the Music City bowl in '12.
