Anybody got the scoop on this place? Good, bad, or ugly.

I haven't eaten there in quite awhile. It used to be really good. Open ovens and great Italian grill. It's definitely worth a shot.

Owned by Vincent Marcello, and it can be a bit of a "scene" type place sometimes, but not overbearingly so.

I really like the food. They're not doing anything mindblowing, but it's usually fresh and well prepared. Actually, one of my favorite Italian joints in New Orleans, for that reason.

Like their calamari appetizer, veal dishes, and anything off the grill.

I really like it. Their arrabiata sauce is really spicy as it should be. My husband loves their veal. I have heard good things about their osso buco as well.

It's good. Overall, I'd give it an 8.

The beef carpaccio and the crawfish diablo are both solid dishes.

One of my all-time favorite dishes is a dish I first had at the Creole Tomato Festival in the quarter from their booth about 15 or 20 years ago. It's called "Pasta Rosa" and there were 2 recipes published in the Times-Pic.

I have the recipes, but can't post right now because of a problem with the recipes.Maybe a search will turn them up.

I feel like the place is trending south, but it is a decent option on Decatur. Don't forget to consider Italian Barrel.

I have already purchased the coupon to Maximos so even if it is average I am only paying half price, makes it that much easier to stomach.
