PerfectGame.org released their position by position power rankings today.

The only Tiger on any of the lists was Gausman as a starting pitcher.

5/10 of the top starting pitchers are SEC. 7 counting Texas A&M.

Sorry buddy that's not Germans. You may be confused with LSU's preseason ranking which is also 8.

These power rankings were just released this afternoon.

I think he's thinking of Gausman being ranked #6 on the draft prospects list earlier this week. And A&M with two in the top 10? I guess they'll be alright this year

ETA: Florida has 2 of the top 5

Kind of surprised Jacoby Jones isn't in the top ten OF (although I have to admit I know very little about the rest of the players listed). Maybe he hasn't had enough work there.

If A&M keeps it up the way they have been, the SEC is gonna be insane the next few years in baseball...more so than they already are.

Counting A&M, the SEC has 7 teams in the top 11 preseason this year.

Glad they aren't playing us this year.

We are ranked 14 by the USA Today/ESPN Coaches poll that was just released. Not nearly as favorable to the SEC as Baseball America's poll.

Seeing CS-Fullerton on there gives me fond memories of the beginning of last season. I don't really like to think of the rest of that season...

He's 6th on the entire MLB draft board surprised he's only the 8th best pitcher.

But much closer to where we should actually be ranked currently in my opinion

I'm much more optimistic about this season. Pitching is the name of the game in College Baseball right now with the new rules. We may have the best starting group in the country when its all said and done.

We have enough hitting to win us some games as well as long as guys like Nola and Hanover hit for average.
