Rumor threads - can we not use the word "heard" ?

I know it's gotten out of control at times, I get it.
However, how are we supposed to share information with TD Nation if we can't talk about conversations we have with people ?
If a poster shared the name of the source is it still a rumor ?
I'm trying to follow the rules, what are they ?
