I've kept in reigned in until recently, just mixing it up a bit. And I'm torn between her and Akeno as my favorites. I've read all the light novels so I'm pretty pumped for this season and hope they stick to the novels. I really wish they'd have gone for a 2-cour season so that we could get to volume 6 and complete the whole second arc.

1. No, I'm just watching them online. My internet is too sporadic to download BD rips but I might in the future.
2. Yes, I watched the final 3 episodes, which were very good as well. I'm now 4 episodes into Nisemonogatari

I've started watching about 6-7 animes at different times. Only finished 3 and only two I really liked. They are:
Elfen Lied and Claymore.

oh i never realised there was an anime thread on here. anyone else hyped up for one piece starting back up tonight? ive marathon-ed through about 200 episodes the last month

You really should make sure you watch BD rips of SHAFT shows. They completely redraw the entire show. It's really night and day in the quality difference.
Nise is also great. Watch Neko right after!

I don't mind it being split. I understand why shows do it and it's because they can't chance it on certain projects because they don't know how successful it'll be.
Also, do you have a MyAnimeList? I'd be interested to see what else you've seen/rated since we seem to have similar taste.

I'll be sure to do that when I get the chance. I found some side by sides on Reddit and it really does look a lot better! And I'm about to start Neko right now, so I'll be done with that in a couple hours. I'm pretty pumped for season two to start this summer

While kira is a dumbass, his kira-reviews site is pretty great. He goes through and find every single change between a TV -> Bluray airing. Definitely check it out if you care.

I caught up on the 1st series the summer before my sophomore year in HS, total waste of a month+
It was pretty close to the start of Shippuden, so I timed it well enough. And I can't scroll up from this reply because I see some spoilers.
I'm gonna have to start where Toonami is on One Piece, and try to put together enough from the previous 200. The vast amount and continuity scared me off, considering I was balancing Naruto as well.

An anime called "Higurashi no Naku Koro ni" is around the top of it, any AMV or snippet makes it look brutal.
I want to re-watch "Sayonara, Zetsubou-Sensei" as well, as I really enjoyed it. The animation style was fun and hopefully I can get an even better understanding of the references the 2nd go around. One of the few manga I've ever bought as well.

Not that I've seen it either, but I've been told it's in ballpark as Elfen Lied.
If it can top the 3 Devilman OVAs from the 90s, then it's way too much. Almost like watching the music video for DyE's "Fantasy" for 3 hours, but with less restrictions. I will never watch those nor Barefoot Gen again...
