yeah I'm not even sure what they're waiting for with that shite.

MN seems set on not building a stadium

Vikes Want a stadium

LA is basically ready to build one.

What are we waiting on?

Why can't the Vikings work out a deal like the Twins did? Pay for 1/3 of the stadium costs themselves and the other 2/3 will be paid for through a small county sales tax. Target Field is absolutely beautiful.

The Vikings have pledged up to 400 million, but the Arden Hills site will be about 1.1 billion dollars and the Metrodome site will be 900 million and the Basillica site will be about 950 million or so.

I'm in favor the metrodome site since it would be the easist to do, but the vikings want the arden hills site for parking revenue.

It'll be pretty embarrassing if the University of Minnesota can get a nice new stadium, but the Vikings can't.

The gopher and twins stadiums were all approved or built or being built before the recession.

The vikings have bad timing.

Honest question, why does MN *have* to buy them a stadium? It sounds like they want something at a huge discount.

No it won't. Not every billion dollar project the NFL wants it should get.

Let the Vikes go to LA. That way the NFL doesbt have that leverage to squeeze new stadiums out of teams anymore.

Not really, they'll build on the dome site and Wilf/Vikings will just have to deal with not getting it built on their ideal site.
