Assistant hiring B+
Want A
Offensive play calling D (solely because of the NCG)
IMO
We can fix our problems very easily. I think with Mett we will fall in love with Miles all over again next year.

We did call some good pass plays in the NC game, JJ just froze in on the first read and either threw it at his feet or got sacked.

A on dealing with the health issues of the staff and the resulting changes to OC.

F on game time on field decision making, such as, but not limited to:

Grades out at a B. This is based on where the program was when he took over, the two subpar seasons, a few recruiting misteps, a few big recruiting hits, some questionable coaching & personnel decisions and great personnel coaching and personnel decisions, etc.
For everything great he's done, it seems he's also made an equally bone headed decision.
Hire Chavis A+ / Co-DC D-
Lose LC D- / Get Claibrone A+
etc, etc.

A+ as coach. Best coach LSU has ever had.
Poor play by a QB can trump any good playcalling. Can't give an accurate grade on that becasue of what I saw in NCG. However, in UGA game, the first half went the same way and they changed to all rushing and we blew UGA out. Play calling during the first 13 games was good I thought. We were iffy at QB and LSU opted to protect that weakness with a strong running game and they did successfully. 24-3 in the past 2 years earns a coach no less than an A, especially with all the off-field junk this team has gone through.

I understand Miles is getting all this negative reactions because of the title game. He was pretty much God pre-game and people would have said A+++++++ for the man/coach he was/is.
I still want to believe that JJ/JL was our kryptonite and Miles did the best he could with them.
As much as I was screaming for Lee, historically Bama had his numbers and just maybe....JJ gave us the best option. Unfortunately, the results weren't any different with 0 points. I think we would still bring this argument up even if we had lost 21-20.
I want to move on!
