So, What happens if.....

.....we lose our OC and DC?? Defense needs an upgrade IMO, but can we recover from losing both? Seems like an unusual situation considering or talent level...

Payton can just groom another OC. They'll hire a legit DC, so I'm alright if both leave.

We wouldn't be able to handle losing our OC Puppet Pete Carmichael Jr.

I like PC but he was more an asst to Payton that elevated to playcaller. The offense is Payton's baby.
That IS the situation in ATL. They hired Koetter who had been OC in JAX. He might end up okay but he isn't getting much fan love considering the offensive product in JAX. It's speculated that the Saints & ATL are competing for some of the same big name DCs. Smith is a defensive minded guy (JAX DC 5 yrs) but proly aloows more DC autonomy than the Payton/PC situation.

Losing Carmichael won't be so bad...Payton is a great playcaller, but Pete really did show some competetence taking over the offense. Good for him, IMO.
