Lonesome Dove was originally a TV series. It's not a movie. Or are we gonna rank the Thornbirds?

And, I've always had a one movie per director rule for MWADS as a method to be more inclusive. There's just too many good movies to get them all, I'm trying to get a sample. I like my list to have balance. I thought about violating it for the 80s list, particularly for the Coens' Raising Arizona, Miller's Crossing, Blood Simple, and Barton Fink dilemna. I'm tortured by it.

I can break it (and did for Nolan in the 90s list), but it's just a personal guideline I use to be inclusive and make difficult cuts. Like cutting They Live.

Got it. I honestly never knew. First time I saw it was on VHS and I knew it as a "made for TV movie." I figured it was probably a TV miniseries though.

I like the 1 director guideline and try to stick with it. Though that will be really tough if we do the 70's.

Well you're in luck cause Miller's Crossing and Barton Fink are 90s. I know cause both were on my 90s list.

SWEET! Memory failed me and I didn't even check the release dates. I still have Riasing Arizona (funniest movie ever?) vs. Blood Simple (arguably the godfather of modern indie films).

This thread transcends a banana dance. This is a Brandon Jacobs hump dance thread.

I had the same problem but I went with Arizona cause I saw it in the 80s and I wanted more comedy on my list.

Half my list would classify as comedies.

If I wasn't careful my whole list would have been action, adventure and thrillers.

I'm rusty, I had to edit because I quoted a gif when I needed to img. Yeesh.

Edit: oh and I'll write.

Edit2: we need to link the 00's, 90's (Sci fi and comedies if they can be dug up) in the 100MWADS thread.

Edit3: lulz

Good idea. Or ONE comprehensive thread with links to all of them.
