Picking up Brockers would be a good start

Really hoping Romeus comes back an lives up to potential. Of so, we really need to focus on LBrs and pass rushers whether through FA or draft.
We desperately need to be able to get to the QB without having to bring 5 or 6 every time

And if that's the best our DEs can pressure the QB, then changing to the 3-4 and getting some edge rush LBs might be on the list.

Yep. The Saints should trade this years 2, 3, 5 and next year's 1 to come up to the first round to draft Brockers, Morris Claibore, Bert Jones and Warren Rabb. LSU should just be the Saint's AAA team.

This group needs a LB (same story, different year) and some competition at LT (they're too low in the draft to get a big time tackle)

The Saints have drafted high for D lately and still have no playmakers? I think at some point you have to consider that maybe the coaches aren't developing the talent very well.

Saints need defensive players at every position. They also need to open the pocket books and make some quality signing on D this free agency

I'm pretty sure, like every team in this league, we will make the moves that are necessary.

By "open the pocket books" I mean aiming a little higher than Will Herring and Clint Ingram.

L - I - N - E - B - A - C - K - E - R

For the love of God.

Martez Wilson is a good start.

Maybe a safety or two as well.

I have no choice but to agree with you now, piss poor tackling has cost us 2 playoff games in 2 years

Picking up Aaron Curry, and drafting Sean Weatherspoon a coupla yrs ago might've been a good thing.

well with the lack of draft picks we better be a player in free agency...I like Ingram but that pick kind of stings bout now

would've been great if atlanta didn't take him before us. I think its pretty rare that you move up to take a linebacker unless they are like a Patrick Willis.

Aaron Curry

what exactly has he done???

IIRC, the Seahawks let him go, even though they had drafted him at #4 overall... that's not usually a good sign for a player....

We ain't doing anything next year in the offseason.

These are our free agents:
Arrington
Drew Brees
Charleston
Colston
Dunbar
Franklin
Gilmore
Kasay
Meachem
Nicks
Porter
Roby
Rogers

You can let some of those guys go, but it won't make up for the extra money you need to pay the others.
No first rounder either.

This was the year, rebuild mode next year.

Arrington-knows the system and should be cheap...otherwise I think you could plug someone else in

Drew Brees-how much of a hit will he cost us/how creative will he let us be with money if he wants the best possible product around him

Charleston-I believe loves it here and probably will be cheap unless some other team wants him for depth.

Colston-Huge for us to resign. We can't get cocky with our WRs. If Meach and Devery are both gone we need to stay consistent and he compliments JG so well.

Dunbar-I thought played very well and does a really nice job tackling in the middle. Not the fastest but pretty damn steady in increased duty this year.

Franklin-Would love to sign to short, reasonable deal. Really came on in 2nd half of year IMO.

Gilmore-Cog, can be replaced
Kasay-who the hell knows
Meachem-all depends on how much others offer. Would love to keep him for continuity. Could Morgan replace his role for cheaper?

Nicks-Supposed top 5 guard in the game...will be EXPENSIVE

Porter-depends on market although I think PRob is improving

Roby-really pissed at him right now but is very good in coverage

Rogers-for cheap sure
