Perspective, man. Get some. The Saints lost a playoff game and the Tigers lost the National Championship Game. It's a really disappointing week, yes, but - all things considered - I wouldn't call it the worst ever.

This bave been a lot worse than this. You must have not been around in the 60s, 70s, 80s, or 90s.

The Saints won 13 games. So did LSU. I can remember a lot of years when they didn't win 13 combined.

This week in 1999, LSU had just gone 4-7 and the Saints 6-10, this is better.

I'd say it's the most heartbreaking by far.

LSU goes down in the BCS National Championship.
Saints appeared to be on cruise control into the NFC Championship before this game.

However, who would have thought either of these teams would have been in these situations 10-15 years ago and before?

All about perspective.

But I am mentally crushed right now. This week hurt my soul

You tell me in 1980 that I'll be watching the Saints lose the divisional round of the playoffs and LSU lose the National championship in the same week, I'll tell you you're full of crap with your optimistic bullshite.

It was only a tough week because our teams went so far and had great seasons. It's hard to take it all after that. I'd rather have a hard week like this than never having had this week at all.
