Like many, I wish he had been given a chance Monday, and I'd love to see him have a great NFL career.
That being said, I don't see any way he makes an NFL roster. They rush you and hit you in the NFL, and that's always been his shortcoming. No matter how well he's coached, there is no coach who can make Lee stop throwing off his back foot and throwing it as quickly as possible to avoid the hit.

Wasn't JJ impressive at the Manning Academy last summer?

They are not now and have never been good quarterbacks. When they came to LSU they were average at best. The greatness of Crowton made both of them irredeemably bad. Anyone who says differently (including a belief that JL was the second coming of Joe Montana earlier this year) has missed the last four years.
Wrong. They were both 4 star quarterbacks with offers from other big D-1 schools.
Lee was very highly recruited.
Jarrett Lee
As with a lot of players on the offensive side of the ball, their talents were largely wasted at LSU.

I hope all of our kids knock it out of the park in the post season games and the NFL workouts.

No the Mannings went to their office late amonday night to shred and burn evidence that JJ attended their passing academy.

neither of these QB's have been developed 1 percent since they arrived on campus. The skills they brought from HS is what they are leaving with.

No, it's actually not. Not when you just let it fly regardless. It's what he did against Alabama in the first game, and on most interceptions in his career.

So would I, admittedly some of the reason being the enhanced reputation for LSU. But I'd especially like to see Lee do well in whatever he persues. He was very loyal to LSU when it would have been easy to leave, and he refuses to speak ill of the coaching staff when any of us, placed in his situation, would feel we had been treated unfairly.

Everything Lee does well goes down the drain because of this. Throwing off your back foot in the NFL would lead him to throwing numerous interceptions. In the NFL, coverage will be much tighter as will the throwing windows.
Another factor of Lee's game that will hurt him will be his ability to read a defense presnap which will cause a serious learning curve when comes to calling audibles. The offensive system Miles' has run has seriously handicapped the quarterbacks running it. It's a totally different ballgame in the NFL then the "check with me style" Miles' uses.

both tried hard and did their best but neither should have been an exclusive QB. It's all on Miles, not the QB's.

I don't remember JJ having a loss as bad as Booty and UAB, though.
4 yards against McNeese

JL always looked good in practice at LSU...nobody in his face

u killed him on that one roaad!!
i can also remember when jarrett was throwing td's to the other team left and right and everyone was calling for JJ. Miles didn't play JJ until he had no other choice (jl took one 2 many hits) and he ended up winning the bowl game. Oh how times have changed

that's why he has the second longest streak in LSU history without an INT.
good call

you must have missed when Peyton Manning schooled brent Mussberger on this topic.
you would be surprised how wrong you are.

exactly Peyton said he actually practices throwing off the wrong foot because in the NFL you do not have as much time to get set- you need to be able to throw from no traditional sets
I hope JL gets the MVP of the game
OH One question is JJ there?
