I think our 'backup' head coach, John Chavis deserves a chance as head coach.

Not a Les flame. He has earned the right to continue coaching.

But with the way Chavis has coached the past few years, I have no doubt that he would make a great head coach.

At LSU, a coach just needs good coordinators anyways. And yes, this may be a rant.

We should rotate head coaches.

Chavis doesn't really recruit well by himself. Him as head coach probably wouldn't be a good idea over a long period of time.

You people are idiots. Chavis is a damn good defensive coordinator, which doesn't automatically mean he is a good head coach.

JC has said many times he does not want to be a head coach. Do your homework. Google is your friend.

I think Shep should be it starting next season and put Les as a safety.

Good idea. Let's get rid of a coach that wins 10+ games a year on average and risk it on someone who (a) doesn't want to head coach, (b) has no experience running a program, (c) hasn't proven he can recruit, and (d) is unlikely to bring in coordinators as good as he is.

In fact I say we bring back Archer. He was a pretty good coordinator too.
