Ok -- let me say --- yep, I would have liked to have seen J Lee for at least a series or two -

what I have not seen is some call out of the O-line --- they were making a LOT of mistakes --- and they were totally man-handled all night.

Our RBs and QB had no shot.... sure we had WRs open at times -- but when the QB has a guy on his back in 0.6 seconds -- he's not going to see the reciever.

My take -- Bama's team simply outplayed LSU. Especially Bama's D-line and LBs vs. LSU offensive line.

AJ McCarron played the game of his career too.

LSU's D played well for for about 50 minutes of the game -- the last 5 - 10 minutes they got tired and were beaten up ... tried to strip the ball and got taken advantage of on inside (and outside) runs.

I think if our O-line could have contained Bama's rush and given JJ any time --- we could have figured something out.... if we would have gotten any sort of running game going --- again no blocking --- that would have kept the defense "honest" as well ---- as it was they simply teed off on our QB and short receivers every play.

Maybe they wanted to block for the guy who got them there.

Except a lot of the sacks Jefferson was given time to throw the ball but his indecision making led to sacks.

There were receivers open, Jefferson had time, he just never pulled the trigger.

The O-Line played smart. They knew that if they blocked, then JJ would throw the ball. They knew to make sure that didn't happen or else we were screwed.

I have been saying this all day. The oline got dominated! Our offense success this year was based on running football and a dominating oline. The 10 quarters we struggled in( ist half of UGA and 2 games v/s bama) we could not run. I would have love to see lee for a series or 2 but the results would have been the same. We have average QB's at best with experiance and when you can't run the ball with average QB's there is no passing game. The oline was dominated and it would have been same for either QB.

Coach Stud is to blame ..not the players.

He didn't do a good job training them and he did a worse job as OC.

Well they picked a stupid arse time to make internal political arse statements...

Now seriously -- you cannot be suggesting that if J Lee were the QB they would have been able to block the defense.... no evidence of that --- the line was rattled, the QB was rattled, the whole offense was out of sync from the start.

Because the "experts" here can't claim they were right about the second team offensive line being better.

JL has a quicker release and not to make changes after the first game that you score two fgs to paraphrase y'all's guy " The want and intensity was not found by the group of coaches on our sideline"

I say "so much" for both. If you can't admit the QB play was poor then you must be blind.

Even on the completed pass that were at the lien of scrimmage they were poorly thrown

Alex Hurst played so bad, it looks like he got paid off to throw the game!

Not the 4th and 18 where Hurst got blown up by Hightower and forced the fumble.

Hurst also allowed Upshaw to go completely unblocked which resulted in a sack...no time there either...JJ made plenty of mistakes too but the O-line made just as many if not more.....3 false starts to say the least...throw in the missed assignments and you have an offensive disaster no matter who's at qb.

Almost any unit could be called out after that game. The d-line played the best of any but the pass rush was still non-existent

In all honesty the entire offense looked discombobulated in the majority of the games JJ started.

Yep -- I saw that too.

JJ made a BUNCH of mistakes and played scared and rattled the whole game... but O-line play did NOTHING to help him whatsoever.

The whole offense sucked. Hurst false starts couldn't block the end in pass rush. Blackwell got killed on some run blocks. Ware was slow on getting over to pick up the blitz when jj missed Landry on the long pass and his guy hit jj as he threw. And jj played like a scared person all night.
