Maybe a logical reason for CLM last night

CLM just didn't seem like he was in the game all night. He had a lot to gain by winning, yet he just mentally seemed absent and unprepared.

I know he lost his sister this past April and right around Thanksgiving there was another car accident at that same location and every newspaper article and TV news cast referenced that accident by saying this is where his sister had been killed. Then here comes the holidays and statistically the first year holidays seem to be the hardest after the loss of a loved one. I'm sure it was hard for him and his family this holiday season for that loss.

CLM played with passion on the sideline for 13 games and everybody plays to get to the NC game and CLM just didn't seem to care about anything last night. He mentally was not in that game...something changed from the last game in December until last night....

Jefferson threatened to release the pics unless he got full playing time and Miles knew they were fricked with JJ?

We all sort of noticed that. The family tragedy is just that, a family tragedy. And my heart does go out to the Miles family for this. But I'm not real sure this can be used as a reason why CLM was (at best) distracted last night or why the team seemed listless and unprepared.

Or, maybe he's just as hard headed as a mule, feels like JJ is his Blindside project pet, and was determined to show the world he was not wrong. JJ's play was better when he was fighting Lee for PT. Once it was handed back to him, he reverted progressively back to 2009-10 JJ. Everybody saw it. Why not Les?

I agree completely. Miles should have put in Lee about midway in the second quarter. It would have focused JJ to play better. Major coaching mistake.

I'm sure it was upsetting to him, but he wasn't that close to his sister. He sees his 88 y/o mother once a month. Les is consumed by LSU football and his wife and kids. No time for anyone or anything else.

He definitely looked detached on the sidelines, but I think it was because we were getting murdered and he didn't know what the frick to do about it.
