They way we played (or didn't play) last night, I'd have a hard time beleiveing that we would have beaten any of those teams.

Yes, any of those teams would have beaten us last night. Georgia and Arkansas as well, as would USC, Oklahoma, Michigan, etc.

We were not even a top 25 team last night.

Bama is a great team, but they are not that great. We were horrible all by ourselves.

We would have been able to run the ball on both teams.
Stanford offensive line would have presented some problems but our seconday would have blanketed their receivers.

Oklahoma State would have been a lot like West Va - a lot of passing but LSU would have prevailed

You don't beat Oregon, West Va, Arkansas, UGA as bad as LSU did without being a pretty good football team.

As much as last night sucked, LSU still went into Tuscaloosa and went toe to toe with the same team. As bad as it was last night, the defense still let LSU hang around until the 3rd qtr and if they could have just put one scoring drive together it could have at least been a game.

I agree with that.

Would have been a different game I believe. Bama's defense was just too powerful. They had a game plan, executed it, and won the game.

Our defense against any of the teams you mentioned would have shutdown their run/passing game, and I'm sure we would have gotten in the red zone several times & put up points. I'm not saying we would have run over them, but I feel the game would have gone in a different direction.

We would have defeated any other team because no other team is Bama and no other team has that defense.

We would have prepared differently. I think the fact that we were having a rematch against a team we had already beaten benefited Alabama greatly.

We would have beaten every other team by at least 2 scores. We scored 40 on everyone except Bama. It is why I didn't want to play Bama again.

I don't. I agree that they were not prepared.....but they DID have a game plan. Unfortunately that game plan would have been good enough to beat any other team in the country....but not Alabama.....not last night. That is one defense you cannot pound into submission.

Yes, we are not a top 5 team with JJ at QB. We had an upset win at Bama more because of their mistakes. Georgia would have been up 21-0 on us if their receivers could catch.

Bama, Okie St, Oregon, USC, and Stanford are all better than us now. Wisconsin, Oklahoma, and Boise St are close, I would guess. People need to come to grips with how poor our offense/JJ is.

Bleh.

Bama had the clear advantage. They played us already. They pretty much knew what worked for us and shut it down. That was obvious..see option plays that did not work.

IF Jefferson had a decent vertical game..or if we actually had any plays for that, then it opens the power game and options vs Bama. Hard just to power up vs that front Bama 7.

Lee, while deserving an opportunity and should have gotta one series, probably would not have done any better...see first Bama game.

Georiga in the SECChamp game laid the blueprint on how to stop Jefferson. Bama just took it off the shelf and fine-tuned it.

Bama beat us the second time because they lost the first time. They knew what to plan for..simple as that.

Okla St/Oregon/Stanford would have lost. It was still a winnable game at 15-0. We stopped Bama'a offense pretty much...just OUR offense was stopped dead cold.

Those teams defenses could not have stood toe to toe vs our offense last night. There was only one team that could because they did so before.

Bama was lucky it got into the BCS...and before anyone goes off on that...LSU knows BCS luck..see 2003 and 2007.

Bama second piece of luck was playing us in that game.

Once those pieces fell in play, then coaching and talent took over. I am sure it made it pretty simple.

The way we played last night, even ULL or ULM could have named their winning score.

The way our line played, No QB play and poor overall offensive game plan......any of the top 5 teams could have beaten us.

It was simply our worst game of the year.

We would have won. Our defense was amazing outside of 4th quarter...at whcih time they just ran out of gas because of our offensive futility. Don't forget Saban knows Miles tendencies, and had 5 weeks to watch film and prepare.

We wouldn't have played the way we played last night if we were playing someone else.

no way any of those teams beat us we would have been able to get our power run game going and that would have taken alot of pressure off JJ
