Think that the only reason Les talked about putting Lee is was to make the other team prepare at least some for him. Looks like Saban figured it out and decided he would stop Jefferson. If they never had any intention of putting him in, but yet continually taunted him by mentioning it in the press that is pretty sick. Has anyone realized that JL's last play that was of consequence was a freaking interception on Nov 5th. Man thats gonna leave a nasty taste in that kids mouth for a while. I feel like an a-hole for ever defending JJ especially after bull shite he gave Ware and then the comments to ESPN. I mean is he insane? I mean with how Sheppard has been wasted and the whole Lee situation this may seriously hurt both team morale and future recruiting.

I don't believe Lee was EVER part of the game plan strategy. Miles made it very clear that #9 would be the starter and the guy. I only think that Lee would have been an option IF JJ went out with injury.

Sad if that was the case but I sure believe it

Lee was kicked in the head from the start.

That plan may have worked a little if Les played Lee a little more leading up to to game

I will walk lightly over here because it is not the SEC Rant. Here are my thoughts. It bacame apparent after the first game that LSU was going Jefferson all the way from there on out. Had Miles not shown this card and kept playing J.Lee spliting time, and won the games on defense it would have forced BAMA to continue to split time preparing for a two QB team. Saban game planed around JJ the entire break. In the first game it was difficult to game plan for two different styles of QB's and the option was effective because it was a new wrinkle. Last night it was clear early on that the option was not going to be an "option". BAMA was ready for it. Keep in mind how quickly this BAMA D adjusts to what offenses are doing. Ark had two drives to start the game and were shut down from there on out, as was anyone else who found something that worked against BAMA. Last night when LSU came out throwing the second half and JJ hit the reciever down the sideline in the seam, the next play the BAMA D had already shifted gears and were ready to go pass d mode. That comes from experience. Next year BAMA will look alot like last year on D. The real key was only having to prepare for 1 QB instead of 2.
