I'm not a big gamer or anything so forgive any ignorance.

I just got a new xbox 360 with one wireless controller. My roommate has an xbox 360 as well (3 years old). We tried using his controller on mine but it won't show up on the game. Is there anyway to get it to work on the newer system?

Thanks for any help

You got to sync it.

ETA:small button on the front of your controller by the RB and LB.

small button on the front of your XBOX.

Press them both and the light will circle on the Box and your controller. Once it syncs, you will see one light on in the top left corner of your box and controller.

I'm not up to speed if old controllers will work with new systems, but did you try synching it to the console instead of just hitting the xbox button?

Push the tiny little button on the 360 and the tiny button on the controller to sync em up.

There is a button on the 360 for synching a controller (right above the power button I believe) and there is also a button on the controller (right next to where you plug in a charger on it). Hit them both, and the lights on should go around in circles for a second and then they should connect.

I think you do the console first, then the controller. It will blink for a bit, and if it works, one of the 4 green quadrant lights on the controller will stay lit.

ETA: Dang you guys were quick
