Anyone have any trouble with the .270 Remington Core Lokt's?? Having trouble sighting in my new rifle and I'm hearing mixed reviews about the Core Lokt's.

I don't have a .270, but have never had an issue with Core-Lokts in my .30-30.

I shoot them in my 30-30, 30-06, and 7mm Mag. They abhor fine for me. Make sure your bases and rings are tight.

I noticed a difference... sighted in my 243 with core lokts. They were landing lower than my federal.

Do you have a boss on your rifle. If mine gets loose, bullet moves around.

I used to shoot 130 grain Winchester ballistic tips. Every deer I shot ran, some not too far, but some distance. Switched recently to 150 grain Remington core-lokts. Shot 2 deer this season with them, neither took another step. They hit the same spot as the winchesters at 50 yards, never sighted the new rounds in any further than that. But I hit right where I was aiming at both 75 yard shots I took at deer this year.

I know some of you will be appalled I never sighted my gun in with the new heavier ammo

I have never liked a ballistic tip of any kind. I have tried a few diff. ones and been more than disapp. with them. For the most part I have always used Win. Power Point. and never had a problem losing deer.

I've seen slot if jacket separation with 130gr core locktd in .270. They shoot very well in mist rifles though. Haven't really seen this happen with other calibers though.

I strongly suggest federal blue box 150's for anybody hunting with a .270. Absolutely brutal on deer.

I have used them in my 300 win and had good results. Basically the same as my WIn power points

What grain? My 300 has problems with 150 grain but not 180.

I had to for years but last year after changing scopes i was not stacking the 150 grain. swaped to 180 grain. Maybe the rifle just got old & needed to slow down

maybe so, I felt like the 150s did more damage to the deer I shot with them thats why I didnt shoot 180s for long

I cannot recommend them enough. They are known as "elephant bullets" at my camp :lol;

My brother uses em

I shoot 150 grain in my 06 and they are absolute arse busters for deer. Most deer never take another step.

I bought some 130 grain .270's recently to try. I've only shot a few of them but I seem to be having the same problem.

I shot a few 130 gr core lokts through my .270 after I thought I bumped the scope and it was dead on and consistent
